Car Make/Model
Ferrari 246 GT

1972 Ferrari 246 GT; UK supplied RHD example finished in Grigio over Bordeaux. Full in-house restoration in 2011/12 and meticulously maintained ever since.

The Dino range of sports cars was named in honour of Enzo Ferrari's son, Alfredino, who designed a dual overhead-camshaft V6 engine for both road and racing use before tragically passing away at the age of 24.

The 206GT was the first model to be introduced in 1967, proving that Ferrari could compete with the likes of Porsche by producing a car in the more budget end of the sports car spectrum.

After 150 206s were produced, the updated 246 GT was introduced, boasting a bigger and more powerful engine; noticeable quicker than its predecessor.

Weighing only 2,400 pounds, the perfect weight distribution of the Dino thanks to its Mid-Engine layout was one of the defining features of the car, one of the all time great handing Ferraris, on top of being one of the most beautiful.

The car we are fortunate enough to offer is one that we know extremely well and in addition is one of the finest we have the chance to work on. This 246 GT is an original UK car that we undertook a complete restoration upon in 2011 & 2012, with invoices on file.

In addition to a car that sits in absolutely fantastic condition wearing the beautiful colours of Grigio over Bordeaux, we also have an impressive file on record, including a copy of the original order form from June 1972. On top of this, we have lots of period ownership correspondence, really going into great depth about the story of the car.

Once completed, the car was sold to a very good client of ours, who has since enjoyed the car very regularly under his ownership. Having covered under 13,000 miles since completion, the condition of the car remains extraordinary in all areas and this sits as comfortably one of the nicest Dinos on the market today.
