Car Make/Model
Aston Martin DB4

1961 Aston Martin DB4 Series III, finished in Silver Birch with Black Hide. RHD example showing just over 50,000 miles, upgraded to 4.2 spec.

The Aston Martin DB4 was revealed at the Paris Salon in October 1958 and with its top speed of 140 mph was instantly one of the fastest four-seaters in the world. The aluminium body was designed and sculpted by Touring of Milan using their "Superleggera" system; one of both beauty and purpose.

The engine of the DB4 was an all new Tadek Marek twin overhead cam aluminium unit, weighing 22KG less that its predecessor and producing more than 200 bhp through a 4-speed synchromesh gearbox.

We are presenting a lovely RHD series III example, which ran from April - September 1961. Changes on the series III were small but effective, including an additional bonnet sty fitted together with a modified handbrake, clutch cover and brake pedal linkages. Further separate rear lights were fitted and the heating system was improved.

This example is finished in Silver Birch with Black Hide and is showing just over 50,000 miles. The car comes with an impressive history file, especially in terms of recent works preformed on the car. In the 1990s, this DB4 enjoyed much attention from Aston Martin Works Service, with absolutely no expense spared.

Further, in the mid-2000s, the car enjoyed a full re-commission from experts Davron and also an engine upgrade and rebuild to 4.2 specification by Denis Welch Motorsport and Aston Engineering.

When combining this fantastic colour combination and desirable engine upgrades with the impressive history file with the vehicle; this is one of the finest DB4s available today.
